Managing Director

Full time (40 hours per week)

The Managing Director will oversee all business operations, performance of the Company and people. They will be responsible for guiding the Company in the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission and long-term goals in line with the Company’s Strategy.

We are looking for an experienced Managing Director who has successfully implemented an online growth strategy in a relevant omnichannel retailer.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop an overall strategy for the Company that delivers sustainable profitable growth, communicate this strategy to all staff and ensure appropriate policies are developed to meet the Company’s mission and objectives.
  • Prepare and implement annual business plans, work with the Senior Management Team to oversee their implementation, monitor progress against these plans to ensure that the company attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible.
  • Build and maintain an effective Senior Management Team to ensure they are motivated, trained and developed to deliver the Company’s mission and objectives. Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of the Senior Management team providing guidance and motivation to drive performance.
  • Interview for senior positions within the organisation and sign off offers of employment.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to seek opportunities, increase efficiencies, implement new processes across the business to achieve the Company’s strategy.
  • Analyse opportunities for growth to drive profitability and ensure that the Company remains at the forefront in the industry by applying the most cost-effective methods and approaches. Ensure the Company provides leading edge products and retains its competitive edge while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement a solid eCommerce strategy that drives growth, setting KPI’s and achieving strategic and commercial results.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager, Head of Marketing and Developers to drive eCommerce forward. Oversee all aspects of eCommerce including business planning, content strategy, promotional campaigns, online marketing, website design, customer service, web analytics and web technologies.
  • Oversee the company’s financial performance, full responsibility of the P&L, preparation of the annual report, investments and other business ventures and ensure their approval by the Owners/Directors. Report Company results to the Owners/Directors at regular intervals.
  • Set Company budgets and forecasts alongside the Owners/Accountants.
  • Prepare, gain acceptance, and monitor the implementation of the annual budget to ensure that budget targets are met, that revenue flows are maximised and that fixed costs are minimised.
  • Assume full accountability for the Owners/Directors for all company operations.
  • Communicate and maintain effective relationships with major customers, business partners, suppliers, key decision makers and other stakeholders to drive the business forward.
  • Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, government departments and other key contacts to secure for it the most effective contract terms.
  • Develop and direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the company complies with all health and safety and other statutory regulations including product compliance in line with Global Standards.

 

Required skills:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing an ecommerce organisation at Managing Director level and has successfully implemented an online growth strategy.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategies and business plans
  • Relevant and proven industry experience within the retail and e-commerce sectors
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, measures of performance and corporate laws
  • Strong understanding of management best practices

Head of Marketing

Full time (40 hours per week)

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for the marketing strategy and delivery of all marketing activity in line with the business target and goals.

Leading the marketing team, you will have overall responsibility for all channel marketing activity, photography, and content.

Marketing activity will be predominantly digital focussed, driving sales via the Lisa Angel website, as well as supporting the growth of revenue through our partner websites, such as Not on the High Street, Etsy and Hard to Find, as well as our retail stores.

We are looking for an experienced digital marketer and team manager who has a wide range of marketing channel experience.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Ongoing development of the overall marketing strategy and plans to meet the business targets and goals. Strategy to include our wholesale, shops, Topshop concessions, lisaangel.co.uk, notonthehighstreet.com, etsy.com, hardtofind.com.au and any other websites and marketplaces that the business may work with.
  • Working with operations and buyers to create and maintain a promotions calendar which encompasses all sales avenues.
  • Leading the team in the delivery of all channel marketing activity including Email, PPC, SEO, Social, Outreach, Affiliates and PR, meeting KPIs and ROI targets for each channel.
  • Leadership and continual development of the marketing team.
  • Managing and working with the SEO and Content Marketing Manager, responsible for delivering our content strategy and ensuring our products get online in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Managing our photographers who are responsible for product, model and campaign photography and video, ensuring the photography is on brand and engaging to maximise sales.
  • To drive forward the brand Vision, Mission and Goals and ensure our brand is consistent across all activity we do.
  • To successfully manage our external marketing agency and press relationships.
  • Working closely with the development team to continually develop and optimise the Lisa Angel website, with the focus on improved UX and conversion rate.
  • Working closely with the rest of the senior management team, buyers, merchandising, retail, and operations to maximise on marketing opportunities.
  • Represent the company externally with press and PR opportunities.
  • Analyse the results of all marketing activity, using tools such as Google Analytics and our own sales database.
  • Produce monthly and ad hoc reporting on marketing activity to share with the Senior Management team.

 

Required skills:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a digital marketing role, 3 of which should be in a senior marketing role.
  • Successful experience in team management and development.
  • Proven track record managing a range of marketing channels, including PPC, SEO, Social and Affiliate marketing.
  • An understanding of, and ideally experience in, website conversion rate optimisation and development of a content strategy.
  • Analytical and commercial mindset, with experience analysing marketing activity against business KPIs.
  • Proven track record in producing marketing reports and presenting these to senior management.
  • Experience driving forward brand vision and goals.
  • Experience in using a wide range of marketing tools including Google Analytics.
  • Experience with managing photography/creative would be an advantage.

Digital Marketing Manager - SEO & Content

Full time (40 hours per week)

Rackheath, Norwich

We have an exciting opportunity for an SEO and Content specialist to join our dynamic, agile marketing team at Lisa Angel HQ in Norwich.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for the creation of our SEO and Content strategy and delivering the associated plans and campaigns.

You will also be responsible for managing a small team of Product Content Writers, responsible for getting our products online in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Development of an SEO and content strategy to grow the revenue and meet the business targets and KPIs from this activity.
  • Managing a small team of Product Content Writers to ensure our products go online in a timely and efficient manner, on both our own website and partner websites; Not on the High Street, Etsy and Hard to Find.
    • Ensure accuracy, kept up to date, on brand and SEO optimised.
    • Edit proofread and improve copy.
    • Maintain where products can and can’t be sold to maximise sales potential.
    • Check competition and ensure our offering is competitive.
    • Ensure products are available for pre order when we have the relevant information to do so.
    • Ensure we are legally compliant, eg alcohol, electricals, VAT.
    • Ensure where products are too large or heavy that their shipping options are correctly setup.
    • Maintain categories and ensure they are accurate and representative of our range.
  • Producing a content roadmap and delivery of content and SEO plans. This will include content both across our own website and off-site to share through social and outreach channels.
  • Delivery of SEO activity, to include:
    • Researching search engine updates, algorithms and implementing best practices.
    • Reviewing and continually improving metadata, content and reporting any code issues and site errors.
    • Link building strategy.
    • Conducting keyword research to ensure the correct keywords are implemented across the website.
    • Identifying content gaps in keyword placement.
    • Producing monthly performance reports.
  • Looking after a small affiliate marketing programme, to include:
    • Monitoring and approval of affiliate commission.
    • Approving and working with our affiliates to maximise on revenue and opportunities via this channel.
  • Working with the Head of Marketing and our development team to lead on the content and SEO requirements for our new website which is currently in design. This will include delivering a content audit and robust SEO migration plan, identifying content and SEO opportunities for the new website and delivery of any new content.

 

Required skills:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Content/SEO role.
  • Proven experience and success of managing a content and SEO strategy.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering a wide range of content and SEO campaigns.
  • Continually researching and keeping up to date on SEO best practice.
  • Passionate about content and content ideas that work to build the brand.
  • Knowledge of and experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush and Moz.
  • Knowledge and experience of CMS platforms.
  • Strong Excel, analytical skills and experience using Google Analytics.
  • Be data driven and have a good understanding of ROI measurements.
  • Proactive at developing and suggesting new innovative creative ideas.

Personalisation Assistants (Evening shifts)

We are currently looking for full time Personalisation Assistants to join our team in Rackheath (approximately 6 miles out of Norwich). The role will involve Jewellery Making and Engraving. You will be working with computers and our engraving equipment to personalise jewellery and homewares. You will also be hand stamping jewellery and charms and assembling jewellery.

Full training will be given, although some experience of jewellery making or design-based software, such as adobe illustrator would be beneficial. Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, good communication and organisational skills are also desirable.

 

Hours:

The role will require working 40 or 32 hours per week, and shifts will include weekends.

Hours will be: 1:30pm - 9:30pm (Please ensure you are available to work these hours)

Part time positions will be considered but hours (1:30pm - 9:30pm) are non-negotiable due to set shift patterns.

This will be at our workshop on Rackheath Industrial Estate (NR13 6LH) just outside of Norwich, so please ensure you are able to travel to this location.

Pay: £4.60 - £8.77 per hour (depending on your age) Plus an additional 30p per hour shift allowance.
