Store Manager (Southwold)

We are looking for a Store Manager to work in our new Store opening in Southwold in July 2024.

The Store Manager will be responsible for driving and growing their business; getting the balance right between commercial, visual and operational expectations. They will have a genuine passion for our brand and be capable of managing and inspiring a highly engaged team to maximise sales while putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.

Main Responsibilities 

Commercial

  • Successfully identify risks and opportunities on a daily basis by analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales 
  • Proactively seek, anticipate and respond to shifting trends and new market opportunities
  • Use initiative to come up with new and innovative ideas to keep our brand offering exciting
  • Take an Entrepreneurial approach to formulate and implement a commercial business plan aiming to maximise sales and profitability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external departments and stakeholders
  • Set clear goals and objectives for your team to drive all store KPI’s 
  • Embrace multichannel development by driving in store web sales

Operations

  • Responsible for all of the store processes, such as admin duties, cash handling, banking, payroll and scheduling rotas 
  • Constantly review productivity; challenging scheduling across the store to ensure operational efficiency
  • Ensuring the store meets all health and safety requirements as well as adhering to all company policies
  • Responsible for driving low stockloss and markdown through team training and a robust stockloss action plan
  • Efficient operation of stock management; including replenishment, stock levels, receiving/processing delivery and stock room layout 

Visual

  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are met at all times
  • Comfortably challenge the commerciality of merchandised products 
  • Identify store specific visual opportunities and propose and implement creative solutions with support of the Visual Merchandising Manager.
  • Organising and implementing special promotions, displays and events

Team development

  • Actively build your teams; recruiting, training and developing as well as identifying and addressing performance concerns in line with company policy
  • Create a learning culture by delivering consistent communication, through regular on the spot feedback as well as reviews and appraisals

Sales Assistant & Keyholder (Southwold)

The Sales Assistant will be responsible for assisting the day to day running of the business and also have keyholding responsibilities. They will also be at the forefront of implementing and maintaining the day to day commercial, visual and operational expectations set by the Store Manager. They must have a genuine passion for the brand and believe in putting the customer at heart at everything they do; ensuring a seamless customer experience from start to finish.

This role is up to 20 hours per week over 4 or 5 days per week (permanent contract).

Main Responsibilities 

Commercial

  • Assisting the manager by giving feedback on risks and opportunities on a daily basis by reviewing sales figures and looking out for trends in customer buying behaviour
  • Be confident in putting forward suggestions and new ideas to keep our brand offer exciting
  • Able to follow a clear goals and objectives to drive all store KPI’s 
  • Embrace multi channel development by driving in store web sales as well as in store sales
  • Be able to promote our unique offer of Hand stamped jewellery by attending training to learn this as a new skill
  • To assist in launching store promotional sales and activities

Operations

  • Able to carry out cash handling till transactions, includings sales, refunds, exchanges, and end of day register closures
  • Adhering to all health and safety requirements as well as all company policies
  • Responsible for driving low stock loss and markdown by following a robust stock loss action plan
  • Assisting in the efficient operation of stock management; including stock replenishment, stock levels, receiving/processing delivery and stock room layout
  • Responsible for holding the stores keys, opening and closing the store alone on occasions 
  • To follow all store processes and procedures as well as carrying out any other duties that may be required by the Company from time to time.

  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are met at all times by adhering to company VM guidelines
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to the manager to challenge the commerciality of merchandised products 
  • Support the retail manager by identifying store specific visual opportunities and creative solutions

  • Maintaining the hygiene standards of the store; assisting in the daily cleaning of customer touch points and back of house areas

The Sales Assistant will be responsible for assisting the day to day running of the business and also have keyholding responsibilities. They will also be at the forefront of implementing and maintaining the day to day commercial, visual and operational expectations set by the Store Manager. They must have a genuine passion for the brand and believe in putting the customer at heart at everything they do; ensuring a seamless customer experience from start to finish.

We have some temporary (up to 16 hours per week for 6 weeks) and zero hour contracts available.
