Originally used in the 15th century in games across Europe, in the late 18th century tarot cards began to be used by the occult for divination purposes. Today, tarot cards are mainly used for fortune reading, with the intention that those having their readings can take away their own interpretations from the cards. The card featured on this necklace is inspired by traditional tarot deck cards and features a shooting star in orange enamel infill, along with rolling white clouds, a blue wave and tiny black stars, all in colourful enamel. Beneath the image is 'the star' written in bold black lettering.

This necklace features a trace chain in sterling silver plated brass, fastening via a lobster clasp, and can be worn at 40.5cm or 45cm using the extender link.
